What you should know before you start.
Bloodwork comes first, always
Low energy, poor sleep and falling strength have many causes, and low testosterone is only one of them. A morning total and free testosterone, plus the related markers, is what separates a real deficiency from a symptom that needs a different answer.
Testosterone is not the only lever
Enclomiphene works by prompting your own production rather than replacing it, which matters if fertility is a consideration. hCG is used alongside therapy for the same reason. The right choice depends on your labs, your age and whether you want children.
This is a commitment, not a course
Starting testosterone replacement generally means staying on it, because your own production suppresses while you are treated. That is a decision worth making deliberately, with a provider who has explained what stopping would involve.
Monitoring is part of the treatment
Haematocrit, PSA where appropriate, and hormone levels are rechecked on a schedule. A provider who prescribes and never rechecks is not managing your hormones, only selling you something.

Hormone Optimization FAQ
No. Hormone therapy is not prescribed without recent labs. Your provider needs to see where you actually are before treating, and needs a baseline to monitor against.
It can suppress sperm production, sometimes significantly. If you may want children, tell your provider during intake. Enclomiphene and hCG exist partly to address this, and the plan changes accordingly.
Then your provider will not prescribe hormone therapy, and will talk to you about what else could explain your symptoms. You are not charged for medication that is not clinically appropriate.
Typically a recheck within the first few months and then at regular intervals. Your provider will set the schedule based on your treatment and history.
